Fun, interactive workshop to fight dementia at Caser Residencial Santo Ángel, Murcia
A gathering that brought joy, connection and meaningful interaction
The staff at Caser Residencial Santo Ángel nursing home for the elderly in Murcia city recently hosted a warm and uplifting gathering with the Alzheimer’s Association, creating a space where residents at the care home could enjoy companionship and light-hearted activities.
As the centre explained, “We enjoyed some special moments last week at the Alzheimer’s Association gathering at Caser Residencial Santo Ángel with laughter, companionship and activities that filled our seniors with joy.”
The event offered residents a chance to socialise in a supportive environment, helping to stimulate memory, encourage communication and promote emotional wellbeing.
Activities included memory and coordination games such as sorting coloured balls into groups, and a fun, friendly race to see who could ‘reel in’ their catches the fastest on a pretend fishing rod.
Through initiatives like this, Caser Residencial Santo Ángel aims to continues to enhance the quality of life for seniors living with cognitive challenges, and to provide simple but effective strategies for helping to cope with dementia and keep Alzheimer’s at bay.
