Águilas beaches: Playa del Pino

Águilas beaches: Playa del Pino

A secluded sandy bay on the southern stretch of the Aguilas coastline between Águilas and Calabardina

The Playa del Pino is a small rural beach on the stretch of coastline between the town of Águilas in the west and the headland of Cabo Cope in the east, and is close to the seaside village of Calabardina which nestles at the foot of the headland.

It is very close to the larger Playa del Arroz, and is reached by means of a 100-metre off-road track from the RM-D15 road, the main road between Águilas and Calabardina, no more than 150 years further west from the Playa de La Cola ( see map below, the curved bay below Playa de La Cola). Parking is at the back of the beach itself.

Águilas beaches: Playa del Pino

Due to its secluded location this is one of the many unspoilt beaches of Águilas, with all of the advantages and inconveniences that this implies. Here there is almost always an air of tranquility as few people opt to spend the day at the Playa del Pino, but on the other hand there are none of the foot showers, walkways, rubbish collection facilities, first aid points, lifeguard services or beach bars which are present on the urban  beaches.

This is the 21st beach in the series of 36 Águilas beaches which run along the 28 kilometres of Águilas coast, working from the Almería coastline in the west down to the Lorca municipality and offer both urban and wild beaches. Click for full list of Águilas beaches
