Andalucia weekend weather forecast August 28-31
Apart from Force 7 winds off the coast today, the next few days are looking quite stable, with some high temperatures and cloudy intervals
The coastal wind alert
A quite stable end to August is forecast for Andalucía by state meteorological agency Aemet. There may be a few places with quite high temperatures but by and large the region will be in the low to mid 30s, with cloudy intervals increasing over the weekend.
Thursday August 28
Clear skies today
With clear skies across the entire region today, and maximum temperatures ranging between 30ºC in Almería, Huelva and Jáen, and 34ºC in Málaga, it’s all set for a very pleasant day today.
The only note of caution is a yellow warning for high winds off the coasts of Almería, Granada and Málaga provinces.
This alert runs from midday until midnight, and indicates that there will be westerly and south-westerly winds reaching 50-60km/h (Force 7), and waves 2-3 metres high.
Lighter westerly winds of around 20km/h are forecast across the rest of the region.
Friday August 29
Maximum temperatures at 5pm
The skies will have intervals of high clouds, with minimum temperatures dropping slightly and maximums too in the far east of the region.
Elsewhere temperatures will be slightly higher than on Thursday or unchanged.
A moderate westerly wind along the Mediterranean coast will weaken towards the end of the day.
Saturday August 30
Highs and lows for Saturday
Saturday is looking like there will be clearer skies, with intervals of high cloud from the afternoon, and maybe some coastal fog.
Temperatures are set to rise slightly, up to 37ºC in Córdoba, but remain unchanged along the coast.
Winds are predicted to be light and variable.
Sunday August 31
Expect more clouds on Sunday
Very little wind is expected on Sunday morning, but there may be some more moderate westerly breezes in the afternoon.
Minimum temperatures are predicted to remain stable or increase slightly to around 22ºC on the coast and one or two degrees lower inland.
Maximum temperatures will probably rise slightly in most places too, including along the coast.
Intervals of high clouds are forecast across the region throughout the day, and some more sea fog too.
