Centro Cívico Alameda del Mar

A centre for educational classes, social and cultural events in Orihuela Costa

Located on Calle Santa Alodia, parallel to the main N-332 road, just behind the Burger King and Indoor Golf centre on the inland side of the road between Playa Flamenca and Punta Prima, the Centro Cívico Alameda del Mar fulfils various different functions within the community, but is most often used as an adult education centre and for exhibitions and social events.

The classes offered include Spanish for foreigners, English for Spaniards, dance, flamenco, zarzuela, tai-chi, chess and various types of musical tuition, all of them taking place within the timetable of 9.30-13.00 and 15.00-19.00. The centre also includes a cafeteria and bar area, as well as a multi-purpose hall, petanque pistes, a reading room, a games and television room and IT facilities for courses which are given here. Most of the courses take place during the academic year.
