Hacienda Riquelme is within easy reach of the coast and beaches of the Mar Menor
Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort is located within the Mar Menor area, meaning there are plenty of activities to be enjoyed closeby around the Mar Menor itself, or within an hour’s drive around the Region of Murcia.Golf enthusiasts will also find easy access to several other quality courses in very close proximity, with the other Polaris World built resorts all concentrated close to each other: Peraleja Golf actually borders on the resort to the south.
Other Polaris resorts include El Valle Golf resort, La Torre Golf resort, Las Terrazas de la Torre, Mar Menor Golf Resort, Hacienda Riquelme and Condado de Alhama, while more nearby resorts include La Manga Club, Roda Golf resort and Peraleja Golf Resort.
The closest town to the Hacienda Riquelme urbanisation is the small town of Sucina, which offers the basic services and facilities needed for everyday living. Here you can enjoy the Spanish café lifestyle with a choice of restaurants and café bars.Sucina has a central Church, Nuestra Señora Del Rosario, and community centre together with post office, supermarket, bank, opticians, medical centre and bus connections. Market day is on Mondays.
The city of Murcia can be easily reached within 30 minutes’ drive, with a host of historical sites, museums and cultural events on offer, as well as a wide selection of shopping facilities, in the form of the old quarter inner-city shops and the main shopping centres of Nueva Condomina and Thader.
The Mar Menor with the coastal towns of San Javier, Los Alcázares and San Pedro del Pinatar are approximately 15 minutes drive south of the resort.These offer superb beach and water sports facilities, with safe bathing within the Mar Menor, Europe’s largest salt water lake. This is linked to the sea via a water channel, but has no tides and is shallow, offering sandy beaches and full beach side facilities. The Mar Menor links through to the Mediterranean, which has a completely different offering of beach facilities, with long, wild beaches and the 21km-long La Manga Strip, packed with apartments and holiday facilities.
There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the Mar Menor area with a wide choice of dishes on offer to suit all tastes.
Around 40 minutes away is the City of Cartagena, with an extensive historical offering, shops and lots of great days out, and there are many other places to visit within the Region, including forests, lakes, historical cities and vineyards.
Hacienda Riquelme falls just within the Murcia central area of Murcia, although is on the boundary of the Mar Menor area.
Hacienda Riquelme is within easy reach of the Region of Murcia International Airport, which is about 20-30 minutes away.
