February 14 and 15 Saint Valentines in Los Alcazares
Romantic train rides, photo opportunities, shopping deals, prize draws, wishing wells and special menus in Los Alcázares over the most romantic weekend of the year!
The Town Hall of Los Alcázares is celebrating Valentines Day in style this year with a series of activities and events on February 14 and 15 under the slogan of “Vive el Amor en Cada Rincón” (Live Love in Every Corner).
Among them are romantic rides on the tourist train of Los Alcázares, setting out on both the Friday and the Saturday at around sunset (19.00) from the Town Hall and visiting some of the prettiest places in the municipality. Bookings for this “poetic and musical experience” will be open from February 11 online here.
A week later on Friday February 21, there is a romantic cheese tasting at the Hotel Atrio del Mar, where participants can delight in a selection of special tastes and the intimate surroundings. Registration for this activity opens on February 18.
In addition, a special local shopping promotion named “Los Alcázares te enamora” is taking place from February 7 to 15, with purchases at local stores entitling shoppers to take part in a prize draw for various romantic dinners for two, and on Saturday February 15 a major event is being held to celebrate the most romantic weekend of the year.
The least strenuous Valentines special is the installation of three special sofas on the seafront alongside the Mar Menor, (at the Balneario de La Concha, in the Plaza del Espejo and next to the A Estribor beach bar/restaurant in Los Narejos, where lovers of all ages can take special photos and take part in a photocall event.
Another option is the Wishing Well which has been installed on Avenida 13 de Octubre at the junction with Avenida Joaquín Blume and on Avenida Río Nalón in Los Narejos: here passers-by can deposit their romantic hopes for the future in the hope that Cupid will grant their wishes!
