January 10, 17 and 24 Dramatized tours of the history of the Virgen de las Maravillas in Cehegín
Join the “Sueño del Fraile” tour and relive the history of the local patron of Cehegín
Following the great success of the dramatized tours in Spanish named “El Sueño del Fraile” in the autumn of 2025, the Town Hall of Cehegín has announced three more dates on the Saturdays of 10th, 17th and 24th January 2026.
On each occasion the visit begins in the Convento de San Esteban at 20.30, with prior registration costing 10 euros and available online here.
2025 marked the 300th anniversary of the reception in Cehegín of the carved figure representing the Virgen de las Maravillas, which has been revered by the local population ever since, and these visits, organized by the Hermandad de la Virgen de las Maravillas and Alhory Teatro, have caught the imagination of locals and visitors alike as they immerse participants in the history and culture of the town.
