That’s just one of the songs which have led to Lionel Brockman Richie Junior, born in Alabama in 1949, becoming one of the most successful singers and songwriters of all time, from his days with Commodores to his long solo career. Numbers such as "Easy", "Sail On", "Three Times a Lady", "Still", “Nightshift”, “All Night Long”, “Dancing on the Ceiling”, “Endless Love” and “Say You Say Me” are still instantly recognizable all these years later, and there is no denying that the sound of his voice is one of those most easily associated with the music of the 1980s.

On top of that, it is sometimes forgotten that together with Michael Jackson he co-wrote “We Are The World”, which remains in the top 10 best-selling singles of all time!

And now this giant of pop music is playing live in Murcia during his latest world tour, bringing a touch of nostalgia and musical genius to the “Murcia On” summer festival with a concert at the Plaza de Toros on Wednesday 23^rd July. The concert begins at 21.30 (although the gates of the arena open two hours beforehand), with tickets priced at between 73 and 125 euros and available online here.
