September 28 Burro musical drama at the seafront auditorium in Aguilas
A 6,000-year-old donkey retraces the history of asses and donkeys in literature at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena in Águilas!
This unusual drama features a 6,000-year-old donkey who tells the story of his life to his own shadow while a raging forest fire approaches, telling us of his experiences in Ancient Greece and Rome, the Middle Ages, The “Siglo de Oro” and modern times. The production draws on sources such as Aesop’s fables and Don Quijote de la Mancha, and stars Carlos Hipólito.
The performance begins at 20.30 with tickets available from 16 euros and available online here or in person from the Águilas archaeology museum and the Casa de la Cultura as well as at the box office an hour before the event.
When visiting Águilas your first port of call should be the local tourist office (click here for map, telephone 968 493285, email turismo@aguilas.es).
