Spring sunshine at first before the rain returns: Alicante weekend weather March 12-15
Clear skies and warm spring temperatures will give way to a cooler, breezier weekend with a chance of rain on Saturday

After a fairly wet start to the week, the weather across Alicante province is finally beginning to settle down. Thursday and Friday should bring plenty of sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures, making for a pleasant end to the working week. However, the weekend may feel a little more unsettled again, with cooler air, stronger winds and the possibility of some light rain moving through on Saturday before the weather improves again on Sunday.
Thursday March 12
Thursday looks set to be a bright and mostly sunny day across much of the province. Skies will remain largely clear, although inland areas could see some early morning mist or patches of fog. Temperatures will start a little cooler in the morning but will climb nicely during the afternoon, giving the day a mild and pleasant feel. Winds will be light and variable early on, becoming a light southerly breeze around midday.
Friday March 13
Friday should bring another settled day across Alicante province, with clear skies expected throughout. Temperatures will stay similar overnight, while daytime highs creep up slightly, making it the warmest day of this short run of good weather. Winds will remain light from the west, with gentle sea breezes developing along the coast during the afternoon.
Saturday March 14
Things begin to change a little on Saturday. The day will start off cloudy, and there is the possibility of some light and scattered rain during the morning. Skies should gradually clear during the afternoon, but temperatures will drop noticeably compared to Friday. Snow levels inland could fall quite sharply during the day, although any snow would be limited to higher mountain areas still. Winds will also pick up from the northwest and could become quite strong in the northern inland towns.
Sunday March 15
By Sunday, the weather should settle down again, with mostly clear skies returning across Alicante. It will start off a little cooler, especially in inland areas where temperatures could dip low enough for a touch of early morning frost. Daytime temperatures along the coast will be slightly lower than earlier in the week, but overall conditions should remain bright and fairly calm as the winds ease during the afternoon.
So while the end of the week brings some welcome sunshine, the weekend may feel a little cooler and breezier at times before the weather settles down again, hopefully just in time for everyone to enjoy the St Patrick's Day celebrations and parade in Cabo Roig on Sunday!
