Sharp drop in temperatures after the storm: Alicante weather forecast September 10-13
After the recent heat and storms, temperatures will drop sharply on Thursday before warmer and more settled weather returns for the weekend

After the intense heat early in the week and the storms and rain midweek, the Alicante Province will notice a nice drop in temperatures. The change should make things feel a little more manageable, with cooler nights and temperatures around 30°C expected over the coming days. Let’s take a look at the daily breakdown:
Thursday September 10
Thursday will bring a sharp drop in temperatures across Alicante Province, although there could still be some unsettled weather throughout the day. Aemet is forecasting cloudy intervals, with a possibility of very heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms, large hail and strong wind gusts. These conditions are expected to gradually ease, with skies becoming clearer during the afternoon.
Temperatures will reach 26°C in Alcoy, 29°C in Alicante city and Dénia, 29°C in Elche and 28°C in Orihuela.
Winds will be moderate from the south during the early hours before turning easterly in the southern half of the province from midday. Coastal areas can expect periods of moderate winds.
Friday September 11
Friday will be a much calmer day, with mostly clear skies across the province. Some cloud could develop along the Alicante coast throughout the day. Temperatures will rise again slightly, with highs of 28°C in Alcoy and 30°C in Alicante city, Dénia, Elche and Orihuela. Minimum temperatures will remain fairly cool, ranging from 15°C in Alcoy to 19°C in Alicante city.
Winds will be light from the west during the early hours before turning southerly around midday.
Saturday September 12
Saturday will be mostly clear, although some cloud is possible along the northern coast during the morning. Temperatures will be similar, with Alcoy reaching 28°C, Alicante city and Dénia 29°C, and Elche and Orihuela 30°C. Minimum temperatures will be 15°C in Alcoy, 19°C in Alicante and Dénia, and 17°C in Elche and Orihuela. Winds will be light and from the east.
Sunday September 13
Sunday will bring another mostly clear day, although some cloud could affect the southern third of the province during the early morning.
Temperatures will remain steady, with highs of 28°C in Alcoy and 29°C in Alicante city. Dénia, Elche and Orihuela will reach around 30°C. Minimum temperatures will range from 15°C in Alcoy to 19°C in Alicante and Dénia, with Elche reaching 17°C and Orihuela 18°C.
Winds will be light from the west during the morning before turning easterly around lunchtime and easing towards the evening.
It might be too early to say goodbye to summer just yet, but this week's change in weather will be a welcome change after the temperatures we've seen recently. Hopefully, this is the start of some more autumnal weather and more manageable temperatures.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this week:

Thursday September 10: Min 15; Max 29°C
Friday September 11: Min 15; Max 30°C
Saturday September 12: Min 15; Max 30°C
