Windy end to January before a damp start to February: Alicante weather forecast January 29-February 1
Changeable conditions continue, with a lot of wind and cloud but there will be some brighter moments too

Unfortunately, the strong winds and cloudy skies will continue as January draws to a close. Although it will feel a bit warmer and brighter at times before the rain returns for a damp start to February.
Thursday January 29

It will be cloudy to start with, but there should be some sunshine later on. Light rain is possible in the north of the province early in the day. Temperatures will rise slightly, though it will feel windier as the afternoon goes on, especially inland and in more exposed areas.
Friday January 30

While it will still be cloudy on Friday, there will finally be some brighter spells and it should stay largely dry. Even though it will be brighter, temperatures are expected to drop slightly. The wind is sticking around and could be strong at times, particularly inland and in open areas.
Saturday January 31

Saturday looks brighter overall, especially along the coast. Some cloud may linger inland during the morning, but there should be more sunshine later in the day. Temperatures dip a little, and while it stays breezy, winds are expected to be less intense than earlier in the week.
Sunday February 1

The unsettled weather is back for the start of February, with rain more likely as the day goes on. Temperatures won’t change much, but it may feel cooler where showers develop. Winds ease compared to previous days, though a light to moderate breeze will remain.
While it will be a damp start to February, at least the strong winds should be easing off, and there will be some bright, sunny spells to enjoy at the end of January. Make the most of those days while you can, as it feels like one storm after another at the moment. And as always, take care near the coast and in exposed areas while that strong wind is around.

Minimum and maximum temperatures:
- Thursday January 29: Min 9ºC, Max 18ºC
- Friday January 30: Min 9ºC, Max 16ºC
- Saturday January 31: Min 8ºC, Max 15ºC
- Sunday February 1: Min 8ºC, Max 16ºC

Weather alert in place for strong winds
There are weather alerts in place for strong winds across Alicante over the next few days. Inland areas could see gusts of up to 80kmh, while coastal spots may feel the wind at 50-60kmh, with waves up to 3 metres. These are yellow warnings, but it’s still worth being careful if you’re near the coast or in exposed areas, especially in the mornings and early afternoon when the gusts are at their strongest.
